The Royal Hospital Donnybrook provides Sub-Acute, Stroke, General Rehabilitation Respite and continuing care services to adults along with a busy Day Hospital. The Hospital is an independent, voluntary, charitable organization. Services are provided on a not-for-profit basis.
The successful candidate will have the ability to understand the psychosocial impact of illness on patients and families and use assessment/counselling/support skills appropriately. The person appointed will join a dynamic Social Work team committed to professional development and ongoing training.
Applicants for this post will be required to have:
- Registered with Coru
- A National Qualification in Social Work recognised by the Department of Health and Children.
- Experience in care of older persons / adult disability in a medical setting
- A clear interest in and commitment to working with older persons/people with disability
