Departments > Human Resources
The role of the Human Resource (HR) Department is to provide advice and support to all levels of staff and management in the hospital on all matters relating to people management. It is our goal to deliver a best practice HR service to assist in maintaining the smooth operations of the hospital.
The HR department works with the Hospital Management Team (HMT) and assists in maintaining good communications and interactions with employees and unions and strives to resolve any issues such as staffing levels, wages, benefits, grievances, working conditions, and other aspects of employment, at local level.
HR department policies are maintained in line with employment legislation and best practice guidelines.
The department maintains the workforce planning framework to attract and retain the talent required to deliver on organisational goals. Working closely with the management team, the department anticipates future needs and the capacity to reconfigure the workforce to meet changes within the organisation.
